Situations of pathological jealousy and violence were described by a 42-year-old from Thessaloniki, who saw his wife, just after the divorce, destroy his car and attack her former mother-in-law.

“At first we had a good time without any problems at home. Out of nothing we suddenly had a lot of fuss for no reason. There was too much jealousy, she could not control her anger“, he said of their 16 years of married life.

He describes a woman as obsessive and manipulative and claims that she was trying to keep the balance at home for the sake of the children.

However, the situation got out of hand and there were not a few times, in fact, that the 42-year-old even rejected… pots.

As he recounted, his wifehe shouted, cursed, threw things at me, the kids in the middle saw all this». He explains that “he imagined things about everything, I didn’t give rights, my cell phone always saw it, I never hid it».

For her part, the 42-year-old’s lawyer, Sofia Nanoussi, said: “There was a lot of jealousy and a stalking which was to such a level that she was constantly making false allegations against him, he was constantly at the police station».

Finally the man asked for a divorce from the 36-year-old and when the decision came out, his ex-wife went under his house and nailed them. “He came under our house, my daughter threw the house keys and started hitting the car, smashed it, broke the front door, the glass for no reason. He was kicking my car and potholed it».

His estranged wife was on a rampage. She smashed into the 42-year-old’s car, with the neighborhood fearfully taking to the street to try to calm her down. The neighbor who went to call the police was also involved. “He also grabbed the neighbor, grabbed him by the collar and started cursing him“, he added.

Her former mother-in-law, aged 73, came down to talk to her to calm the spirits. Then the 36-year-old pushed the elderly woman, threw her on the street and tried to hit her.

“I no longer go out in my neighborhood, I don’t go out in my area. If I want to go somewhere for a coffee I go to other areas. I avoid our meeting».

The 36-year-old she was sentenced for her actions to 2 years in prison with suspension without any mitigating circumstances being recognized. She was found guilty of public indignity, damage to another’s property, domestic violence and menacing.
