ELAS made an announcement regarding the stray bullet found in a school in Menidi.

The preliminary investigative work is carried out by the State Security Department of the Security Sub-Directorate of Western Attica.

The ELAS announcement:

“With reference to damage to a window glass of a school in the area of ​​Acharna, the Headquarters of the Hellenic Police announces that, from the investigation carried out in the area by a competent echelon of the Western Attica Security Sub-Directorate of the Attica Security Directorate, it was found that:

  • The glass panel consists of double glazing and had holes and breakage on its outer part, while its inner part was intact.
  • There is no relevance of the location and minimal degree of deformation of the bullet found with the indicated hole, taking into account factors such as its direction and direction and the fact that it did not impinge on the inner glass or cause damage to it.

According to the estimates of the police, the damage to the exterior is not related to the found fireball and was caused at an earlier unknown time following the impact of metal pellets from an air gun and a stone.

A competent team of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations was called to the scene, while the fireball was confiscated and will be sent for laboratory tests.
