A 28-year-old man who was arrested by the police in Thessaloniki last week for defrauding a 35-year-old woman from whom he took an amount of 83,357 euros seems to have committed yet another fraud against a woman.

Specifically, a 28-year-old woman, after the previous case was made public, addressed police officers of the Property Rights Protection Department of the Thessaloniki Security Directorate as she recognized common elements with her own case of fraud.

In particular, the 28-year-old won her trust, entered into a relationship with her and citing the start of a professional activity, settlement of financial disputes, as well as dealing with health problems, managed from the end of February to the beginning of April 2023, to extract the sum of money from the 28-year-old of 69,000 euros.

In the context of an ongoing investigation carried out by police officers of the Property Rights Protection Department of the Thessaloniki Security Directorate regarding a case of criminal fraud against a 35-year-old woman, for which a 28-year-old citizen was arrested, it is reported that another complaint has been made, according to which a 28-year-old woman recognized common elements with her own case of fraud and addressed the above competent agency.

In particular, the already arrested, with the same methodology, i.e. gaining the trust of the victim, entered into a relationship with her and invoking the start of a professional activity, settlement of financial disputes, as well as dealing with health problems, managed from the end of February to the beginning of April 2023 , to extract the sum of 69,000 euros from the 28-year-old.

The supplementary pre-investigative material will be submitted to the competent Prosecutor, in order to be associated with the submitted case file.
