In the audience of the Three-Member Criminal Appeal Court of Thessaloniki revives the unprecedented incident with her kidnapping of the High School principal by members of the self-proclaimed group “Guardians of the Constitution”in December 2021, at Aeginio Pieria.

They are sitting in the defendant’s dock eleven people, among them a retired EL.AS officer and two women. Three of the defendants are temporarily detained in prisons.

The indictment alleges that they immobilized the principal as he was arriving at the school and, after handcuffing him, forcibly took him to a nearby police station, where they were finally arrested.

As emerged from the hearing, there was a stir at the school in the previous period, due to reactions to the restrictive measures that were in force at the time due to the coronavirus.

Describing the incident, the high school principal said, among other things, that “ten people came in military style inside the school and surrounded me”, while the scene was recorded with a mobile phone. “I felt terrified” he continued, speaking of an attempt to “humiliate the face of a public official of Education”.

“Nobody apologized to me for the incident” he added.

The trial was adjourned and will continue in the next few days.
