“I didn’t think I would cause anything serious. It was my fault for hitting and I apologize. I shouldn’t have gone over there at all,” he said, among other things, in his apology.

In reference to the attack on the stairs of the apartment building on Gazi Street, he claimed that he hit his friend Angelos, Alkis, two or three times in the head with the styliari that he only had.

“I saw the movement of A.B. I hit him two or three times on the head. Only A.B. I never saw Alki. Not even fallen. I beat A.B. and I went back to the car”, he characteristically said in his apology.

In response to the Prosecutor’s question about who knocked Alkis Kampanos stated that he only hit the victim’s friend and that he did not see who were the ones who managed to kill Alkis, since he was also wearing a helmet.

Alongside, denied that he was close to Alkis, disputing the claim of the Prosecutor that based on the videos, he seems to be close to the victim.

Concluding his apology, the 11th defendant repeated his apology to the families of Alkis and his friends, while again stating that he was sorry for what had happened.

The 10th accused, who was the one who wielded the scythe in the murderous attack, was earlier excused.
