An apartment that operated as an illegal brothel and had hidden cameras that recorded the “customers” was located by police officers of the Anti-Trafficking Department of the Thessaloniki Security Directorate with the assistance of their colleagues from the Toumba-Triandria Security Department.

The police arrested a 58-year-old woman as the person in charge of the premises, against whom, as well as against a 56-year-old who had rented the apartment in question, a case file was filed for pimping and violation of the Law on the Protection of Persons against the Processing of Personal Data.

Specifically, after a check carried out in the apartment, two nationals aged 40 and 43 were found to be working as prostitutes, who provided erotic services for money, which the person in charge received, giving part of them to the prostitutes.

During the investigation, the following were found and seized:

  • A monetary sum of 270 euros, derived from the illegal activity,
  • Handwritten notes and
  • Video recording system, installed in the reception area.

The arrested person will be taken to the competent Prosecutor.
