Mystery surrounds the disappearance of a British tourist who disappeared in Telendo two weeks ago.

Susan Hart, 75, was last seen reading her book in a restaurant in Kalymnos before disappearing on April 30 when she went to Telendo.

Susan and her husband traveled frequently to Greece, according to local media, and they liked destinations that offered activities such as hiking, mountain climbing and exploring landscapes.

The couple – who were both avid climbers – reportedly left the hotel with a friend to visit the isolated island of Telendos for hiking.

Susan, who suffered from dementia, was wearing hiking boots and had equipment with her when she disappeared.

The unfortunate woman decided to stop hiking due to health problems she was experiencing, shortly after arriving in Telendo.

The British pensioner, who lived in Switzerland with her husband, decided to sit in a small restaurant in the harbor area to read a book while she waited for her husband and their friend to return.

According to her husband’s statements, she left the restaurant after a few hours – while the two men were still out hiking – and disappeared.

Officials launched an extensive search for the unfortunate woman, with the help of volunteers and the Coast Guard.

Her family, including one of her three daughters, Ruth Landale, flew to Greece to join the search, which police say is ongoing.
