In order to dealing with delinquency and crimeEL.AS carried out new operations, yesterday, Wednesday, May 17, throughout the country.

According to the data of the headquarters of the Hellenic Police, during the specific actions, 9,514 vehicles and 11,806 people were checked, while 174 arrests were made for various offenses and for violations of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 377 arrests, 3 confiscations and 68 vehicle immobilizations, as well as 2,570 confirmations of KOK violations.

According to ELAS, particular importance was given to areas with increased incidents of delinquency.

Particularly:

– In Lefkohori Ilia240 checks of people and 181 checks of vehicles were carried out, 6 people were brought in, 4 were arrested, of which 3 were for power theft and 1 was for a traffic violation, while 25 traffic violations were confirmed.

– In Koupi Koropi53 people and 47 vehicles were checked, while 23 violations of the Code of Conduct were confirmed.

– In Vrachati and Hexamilia Corinthia, 28 people and 24 vehicles were checked, while 4 people were arrested.

At the same time, special police actions continued in areas of Western Attica, which were concentrated in Agia Varvara, Menidi and Zefyri.

Specifically, 335 checks of people and 132 vehicles were carried out, 56 arrests were made, 2 arrests were made for convictions, while finally 26 violations of the Code of Civil Procedure were confirmed.
