The Press Center at Zappeio Megaro was visited the acting Minister of the Interior, Kalliopi Spanouaccompanied by the general secretaries of Communication and Information Dimitris Galamatis and Interior and Organization Michalis Stavrianoudakis.

Mrs. Spanou toured the specially designed areas of the Center, was informed by Mr. Galamatis about its state-of-the-art capabilities and innovations and found out the high level of readiness of its executives to assist the correspondents of the domestic and international press in meeting the journalistic needs of tomorrow’s parliamentary elections.

Finally, he praised the care taken to provide an interpretation service, to facilitate the foreign journalistsbut – for the first time – also of Greek sign language in the live coverage and expressed her belief that the representatives of the press who will cover the electoral process will be satisfied.

It is recalled that in Zappeion Press Center a total of approximately 340 journalists, correspondents, photojournalists and members of television station crews have been accredited, of which 150 are foreign correspondents from 20 countries, who have come to Greece specifically to cover the elections.
