The electoral process in the 1st and 2nd electoral districts of Thessaloniki has been going on smoothly and without particular problems since 7 am.

Normally, all the judicial representatives are in their positions, while the absence of electoral commission members is usual and does not affect the orderly functioning of the elections.

According to authoritative sources from the courts of Thessaloniki, issues arose with the tablets of some judicial representatives, as they displayed different names of members of electoral commissions than those appointed. The instruction given is to continue the process normally with the present members of the electoral commissions.

According to the same sources, twelve judicial representatives (10 in the A’ and 2 in the B’ electoral district of Thessaloniki) were replaced since yesterday for various reasons and in these cases the substitutes were notified. The same thing happened in the morning with another judicial representative who declared himself a hindrance.

The polls opened without problems for the rest of the laws of the Region of Central Macedonia, as stated by the head of the General Directorate of Internal Organization and Operation of the Region of Central Macedonia, Kostas Michaelidis, speaking to APE-MPE.
