The police estimate the profit of the two brothers from the hashish plantations they cultivated in their greenhouses in Crete to be over 1,000,000 euros.

According to cretalive.gr, police officers of A.T. Faistou estimates that the total production – from both greenhouses – would reach 435 kg.

Given that domestic hashish is sold for 3,000 euros per kilo, they believe that their benefit would exceed 1.3 million euros. At the same time, it became known that upon the arrival of the police forces at the greenhouse of the 46-year-old, who is now in the hands of the authorities, as he was taken in the afternoon from the office of the defense attorney Mr. Dionysis Verra, the 30-year-old worker of Pakistani origin had set fire to metal barrel in order to get rid of quantities of cannabis but he didn’t have time.

Police officers estimate that the 46-year-old had noticed the presence of the police and had alerted his worker to disappear as persuasively as he could and then to disappear himself.

The 30-year-old worker, however, in his preliminary investigation statement names the 46-year-old as the man who hired him as a land worker 9 months ago to cultivate his greenhouse, while he mentions that the saplings were planted two months ago.
