Incidents between hooded men and police forces took place in the early hours of the morning in Thessaloniki, inside and outside the Aristotle University. According to the website thestival.gr, the incident occurred at 2:30 in the morning when a group of individuals attacked with approximately 20 Molotov cocktails the platoon of the Directorate of Police Operations guarding the library under construction in the northern part of the academic institution. The policemen of the platoon pushed them back with stun grenades and tear gas.

A few minutes later, the same people came out onto Egnatia Street and threw Molotov cocktails at the TIF goods gate. Police officers of the Sub-Directorate for the Restoration of Order pursued the hooded men, who returned to the interior of the university. More Molotov cocktails were thrown at the police. The young rioters threw about 30 Molotov cocktails. The roadway was littered with remnants of the improvised bombs while the atmosphere was suffocating due to the tear gas.
