A policeman rescued a man who tried to end his life by threatening to fall from the fourth floor of the apartment building where he lived with his mother in Thessaloniki.

According to thestival.gr, the Thessaloniki Immediate Action Center received a call about a mother and son incident in an apartment building in the Menemeni area. Police officers of A.T. Ampelokipo – Menemeni, who were on patrol immediately rushed to the scene.

The two police officers, after calming the spirits, began to record the details of the mother and son. The deputy warden of the crew, however, perceived the 45-year-old going to his room. He suspected something was wrong. He thought he would try to end his life.

She followed him, ran and entered the room. He saw the 45-year-old on the balcony railings, shouting, ripping open the awning and threatening to jump from the fourth floor.

The policeman kept his cool. With efficient movements, without calculating the danger to himself, he managed to grab the suicidal man and pull him safely into the room.

The 45-year-old’s mother thanked the deputy warden, while neighbors watching applauded and congratulated him on his heroic act.
