ELAS proceeded to dismantle a criminal organization whose members were active in the possession and trafficking of large quantities of cannabis and cocaine in areas of Western Attica and Piraeus.

Three members of the organization (a citizen and 2 foreigners) as well as a 60-year-old woman were arrested for the case yesterday (1/6) afternoon, while a case file was filed against them for – as the case may be – criminal organization, violence against employees and judicial persons as well as violation of the drug legislation.

According to ELAS, the organization had a professional infrastructure and operated with a specific structure and methodology of action (modus operandi), while at the same time, as was established, its members took special counter-surveillance measures.

In more detail, from the utilization of the data that emerged in the context of the investigation as well as from the creation of profiles of those involved (profiling), their criminal activity as well as the role of each member was certified.

Specifically, the 34-year-old foreigner (organizer and director) was in charge of finding suppliers and customers as well as drug trafficking. His direct collaborators were the 19-year-old foreigner, who transported and trafficked narcotics, and the 33-year-old Greek, who was in charge of storing, guarding and trafficking the narcotics, as well as making his house available for the safekeeping of the narcotics (kavatza).

In searches carried out in the home of the 33-year-old and the 60-year-old, as well as in the possession of the other members of the organization, a total of 70 kilograms and 741.2 grams of raw cannabis, 9 kilograms and 170 grams of processed cannabis (chocolate), 564 grams cocaine, 515 grams of colorless crystalline substance, unknown chemical composition, 400 euros, I.X. two-wheeled motorcycle, 3 precision scales, 4 mobile phones and a portable safe with its key.

Those arrested were taken to the competent prosecuting authority.
