Interesting data on how young voters voted – and young people up to the age of 34 – has been published by the Institute for Research and Social Change-Eteron.

According to the Institute’s research and as shown by the exit poll:

New Democracy ranks first overall in the new generation.

– In the vote of young people aged 17-24, its percentage is at 33.1%, with an increase of 3.1% compared to the parliamentary elections of 2019.
– In the 25-34 age group, a percentage of 31% is recorded, exactly the same percentage as in 2019.

SYRIZA – Progressive Alliance is by far the big loser in the new generation as well

In relation to the 2019 parliamentary elections, it records a 13.9% drop in the 17-24 age group and a 13.1% drop in the 25-34 age group.

It therefore comes in second place with 24.1% (17-24 years old) and 22.9% (25-34 years old).

It should be noted that in all parliamentary elections from 2012 onwards, SYRIZA was comfortably and by far in first place among the new generation, with the exception of the 2019 European elections.

PASOK – Movement for Change records a significant increase in its electoral influence among the younger generation

More specifically, the result of the exit poll brings PASOK – KIN.AL. in percentages of 9.7% in the 17-24 age group (4.7% increase) and 10.2% in 25-34 year olds (4.2% increase).

The KKE is also on the rise among the new generation

In the 17-24 age group, it reaches 7.3% with a 3.3% increase compared to the 2019 parliamentary elections.

Accordingly, in the 25-34 age group it recorded a percentage of 8.1% (increase of 2.1%), while in the student vote the KKE recorded its second largest percentage with 8.2% (increase of 4.2%) .

In relation to the KKE’s significant rise in the student vote, it is worth noting that Panspudastika has been in first place in the student elections for the last two years.
