The graduation ceremony 249 students from 17 ranks of the General Staff of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces was held at the Avlona Armored Training Center and in the specially designed space that has been granted, within the framework of the “Military Cooperation Program (MCP) of Greece – United Arab Emirates” (Military Cooperation Program), by the Ministry of National Defense for the accommodation and service of the personnel of the United Arab Emirates who will be trained in Greece in the coming years.
The graduates are the first section from the UAE General Staff to attend and successfully complete the training program, lasting approximately 2.5 years, which the Hellenic Aviation Industry has signed with the UAE and which covers a range of four specialties as follows:
- Advanced Diploma in Military Aircraft Airframe and Powerplant Maintenance Engineering
- Advanced Diploma in Military Aircraft Avionics Maintenance Engineering
- Advanced Diploma in Military Aircraft Electronics Maintenance Engineering
- Advanced Diploma in Military Aircraft Mechanical Maintenance Engineering
The ceremony was attended by the deputy chief of the General Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, Sheikh Ahmad Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, the president of the d.s. of EAB, vice-captain (M) e.a. Ioannis Koutras and the managing director of the company Dimitrios Papakostas who congratulated all the students on their successful graduation, highlighting the high level academic knowledge provided by the study program.
At the same time, they urged the graduates to make the most of the knowledge gained from the training program, expressed their belief in their continuous improvement at the personal and professional level, and congratulated the officers of the General Staff of the UAE Armed Forces for their support throughout the educational process and their contribution to further strengthening cooperation between countries.
Finally, they expressed their thanks to the Directorate of Education and its executives who, under adverse conditions and a significant lack of staff, supported and successfully carried out such an important study program, adds the relevant announcement of the EAB.
