After their apologies, seven of the eight new defendants in the second case filed for the case of the 12-year-old girl from Colonos are on their way to prison. The eight apologized before the 14th regular investigator, who is now handling the second case file opened for the case of sexual abuse and exploitation of the child, faced on a case-by-case basis with the offenses of sexual intercourse with a minor and pornography.

They are six foreigners and two Greeks, a father and a son, who come from the 12-year-old’s neighborhood and were arrested following a warrant from the investigator, as they were identified by the girl in the last statement she gave to the authorities.

The eighth accused, 20 years old who was arrested together with his father, was released after his confession, with the imposition of the condition of mandatory appearance at a police station at regular intervals.

According to information, before the investigator, the eight denied the acts attributed to them against the minor. The 20-year-old reportedly cited a serious health problem.

It should be noted that the first investigation into the case, which began with the remand of Mihos and then the other 29 defendants for “the horror dates” has now been completed by the investigator who handled it and the case file is expected to be forwarded to a prosecutor and subsequently to the competent judicial council that will decide on the referral or not of the accused. The case was closed in order to start the procedure for the next stage of the criminal procedure, with the referral or non-accused, as for the vast majority of them they are in prison and the time is “running” for the limit of 18 months of pre-trial detention.
