A modern one-acre playground awaits young Athenians in the Ilision Grove. This is the fully renovated playground in Agios Charalambos, which was transformed by the Municipality of Athens into a comfortable and safe recreation and entertainment area for children.

The new playground, located in this beautiful, green area of ​​the city, has been designed with the latest safety standards. It is certified and completely accessible to people with disabilities, while it now has new play equipment, modern infrastructure and suitable urban equipment.

The equipment of the space is made of wood and metal, in order to harmonize with the environment.

Swings for children of all ages, cable cars with a launch platform, wooden playhouses with slides and climbing walls are just some of the toys that meet parents and children in this modern recreation area designed by the Municipality of Athens.

The safety of children in playgrounds is one of the most important priorities of the Municipality of Athens. In this direction, the technical services of the municipality carried out the appropriate work on shaping the spaces, so that the children can enjoy their game every day without fear, as stated in the relevant announcement. The playgrounds have a Certificate of Conformity from an accredited control body, as well as a special mark of suitability for operation. Their general configuration and equipment provide safety, preventing risks and injuries and meet the safety and health requirements of children. The premises also have resilient floors that meet the specifications of European standards, landscaped and fenced space with metal fencing and are fully accessible to emergency vehicles.

The playground has been enhanced with the required urban equipment, such as benches, water fountains, waste bins and baskets, as well as signs with useful information for parents and children.
