The Emergency Weather Deterioration Bulletin issued on 15-06-2023/1300 is being upgraded to a Hazardous Weather Emergency Bulletin according to the latest forecast data.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms accompanied by high frequency of lightning and possibly hail will affect the eastern country.

More specific strong phenomena are foreseen:

On Sunday (18-06-2023),

1) during the night and early morning hours in central Macedonia (especially in the region of Halkidiki and Pieria) as well as in the northernmost parts of Thessaly,

2) until noon in eastern Thessaly and the Sporades,

3) from very early in the morning until the early afternoon hours in Evia,

4) from midday to afternoon hours in Attica, Boeotia and temporarily in the north-eastern Peloponnese,

5) intermittently from the morning hours until the early afternoon on the islands of the northern and eastern Aegean and the northern Cyclades.

The phenomena in the region of Magnesia, the Sporades, central and northern Evia until midday will be strong and locally dangerous and from the midday hours in the rest of Evia, Attica and Boeotia until the afternoon.
