The autopsy of the 27-year-old woman will take place in Rhodes.

As it became known, the body was found in grass, under a tree just 1 km from the house of the arrested Bangladeshi and near a wetland by a volunteer who participated in the investigations.

The body was found in a bag from the waist up while at the same time it had been covered with branches and dry grass. There is also information that the 27-year-old was naked and her body was wrapped in a sheet.

The police were immediately called to the scene, who removed the bag and found that it was the 27-year-old woman they were looking for.

The body has been identified by the police, however, it is expected to be formally identified by her relatives, her mother and her partner. At the same time, the efforts of the police are ongoing for the perpetrator of the heinous murder, since until now the main suspect has not confessed.

Investigations are focused on the perpetrator

Now the investigations are focused on identifying the perpetrator of the murder. The main suspect remains the 32-year-old from Bangladesh who has been arrested and was the last person the 27-year-old met with before her disappearance.

From the police authorities it is considered almost certain that DNA evidence will be found on the 27-year-old’s body that will be identified with the perpetrator of the crime.

The 27-year-old was spotted by security cameras entering the Bangladeshi’s house on the fateful night but not leaving it. The authorities speculate that the Bangladeshi took the body of the unfortunate woman out the back door that leads to fields in order to be noticed by the camera.

The timeline of extinction

The traces of the girl, who worked in a hotel on the island, were lost on Monday night, while the next day her partner reported her missing.

According to what her partner reportedly told police, the 27-year-old contacted him by phone on Monday night and told him she was under the influence of alcohol, and shortly after she sent him the exact location of where she was in order to pick her up.

Her partner went to the scene but found no one, and the girl’s cell phone was switched off. He then proceeded to report him missing.

The authorities then proceeded to arrest a 32-year-old man from Bangladesh on charges of kidnapping. The man reportedly said he met the girl the night she disappeared, they had sex at his house and then dropped her off at a specific location which police searched but found nothing.

According to the same information, the arrested person had taken out a ticket to leave the country.
