With a truck in which a special cache had been built and with an I.X. E. cars, five traffickers who were arrested on Evro on four different occasions, attempted to illegally transport a total of twelve immigrants into the country during the two days of June 17-18.

In particular, speeding and driving dangerously in the sight of his police officers Tycheros Border Guard Departmentof the Police Directorate Alexandroupolis, a trafficker tried unsuccessfully to escape arrest yesterday while moving in a rural area. As it was established, the driver-transporter transported with I.X.E. car three immigrants while also lacking a driver’s license.

To avoid police control at I.X.E. car with which he illegally transported two immigrants, a second arrested trafficker who also lacks a driver’s license attempted. He was arrested yesterday in a rural area of ​​Tycheros after the vehicle was stopped and while he tried to escape on foot. As found by the police, the vehicle was reported stolen to the Attica police service on June 8.

Inside a specially configured crypt in I.X.F. car, two traffickers attempted to illegally transport two immigrants from Turkey to the interior. Police officers of the Garden Passport Control Department in collaboration with customs officials, identified the immigrants during the thorough check they carried out and arrested the driver and passenger of the vehicle.

In the fourth case, yesterday afternoon police officers of the Didymoteichos Border Guard Department of the Orestiada Police Department arrested a trafficker whom they spotted boarding an I.X.E. car five immigrants in order to transport them illegally.

All those arrested were taken to the competent Prosecutors, while the preliminary investigation for the cases was carried out by the Alexandroupolis Security Sub-Directorate and the Border Guard Departments of Tycheros and Didymoteicho.
