Thessaloniki: The 26-year-old is released on parole for Molotov cocktails in Saturday’s episodes

by

The 26-year-old woman who was arrested for throwing Molotov cocktails in last Saturday’s episodes was released on restrictive terms, after the end of the protest march by anti-authoritarian groups for the police operations of the previous days in occupied AUTh premises.

With the consent of the prosecutor and the investigator, the terms of the ban on leaving the country and appearing, once a month, at the police station of her place of residence were imposed. In her apology, she allegedly denied the charges against her, which relate to three crimes (possession of explosives, explosion and arson at human risk) as well as a number of misdemeanors.

Meanwhile, on January 21, the car of the 19 accused for the same incidents was postponed. Due to the absence of the police witnesses, the Single-Member Misdemeanor Court postponed the trial of the case and (automatically) suspended their detention.

The above are accused of disturbing the peace, disobedience and violation of the law on public gatherings.

A total of 27 arrests were made and after the indictment seven were released (two minors, one woman with a health problem and four who are being prosecuted only for drug possession).
