In dismantling a criminal organization, whose members were systematically active in the supply and trafficking of narcotic substances in the wider area of ​​Tripoli and Patras, the police officers of the Tripoli Security Department proceeded after many months of thorough investigations. Among other things, more than 5.7 kilograms of cannabis and 876 grams of cocaine were seized.

In order to dismantle the criminal organization, police officers of the Tripoli Security Department carried out a large-scale police operation in areas of the Patreon Achaia Municipality the day before yesterday, where -4- citizens, -3- men, aged 28, 36 and 44, were arrested, respectively, as and a 31-year-old woman, members of the organization.

A case was filed against them for a criminal organization and violating drug laws, while the 28-year-old is also charged with violating weapons laws.

In particular, after a thorough police investigation conducted by the Tripoli Security Department, utilizing appropriate and combined evidence, as well as the results of physical and scientific methods, it emerged that the above had formed a criminal organization, at least from March 2023 until 17.6.2023, which was active in the supply and trafficking of narcotics (cocaine, cannabis and heroin) in the wider area of ​​Tripoli and Patras, thus obtaining significant sums of money.

As it emerged from the thorough investigation, the organization had a hierarchical structure, with continuous action and distinct roles, while the 28-year-old was arrested as a leading member.

In particular, the 28-year-old, in addition to the management and direction of the organization, was responsible for finding suppliers and customers, guarding, storing, transporting the drugs, as well as collecting and managing the money from their sales. The remaining members proceeded, after prearranged appointments, to traffic the narcotics for money.

During the operation, searches were carried out in the houses, open spaces and vehicles of the arrested persons, where they found and confiscated:

  • quantities of cannabis, total weight -5,757.1- grams,
  • quantities of cocaine, total weight -876- grams,
  • 1 revolver,
  • 10 click cartridges,
  • 5 precision scales
  • 1 vehicle, means of committing criminal acts,
  • 8 mobile phones,
  • the amount of -3,110- euros, as coming from drug trafficking,
  • a number of items related to drug packaging and
  • handwritten notes with amounts of money and denominations.
  • Finally, it is estimated that from their criminal activity they had obtained an illegal financial benefit, which exceeds -145,000- euros.

The arrested were taken to the Criminal Prosecutor of Patras, while the police investigation and the pre-investigation work are carried out by the Tripoli Security Department.
