The 23-year-old was arrested a few hours ago by police officers from the Archangelos department who were handling the case, following the complaint of the young foreigner. According to what the 20-year-old Irish woman told the police, the day before yesterday she was having fun in a bar in Faliraki and yesterday morning she left there with an unknown man.
She said she woke up a few hours later with no memory of what had happened since leaving the bar, and without her underwear on. She also didn’t find her purse and cell phone.
Yesterday at 6 pm, the 20-year-old foreigner reported the incident to the Archangelos police station, stressing that her memory began to return gradually. The police, using the information they had at their disposal, managed to clarify the case, ending up with 23-year-old Roditis, who is alleged to be the perpetrator of the rape of the young foreigner.
He himself has been arrested and is expected to be brought before the public prosecutor of Rhodes, for further proceedings, accompanied by Mr. Stelios Alexandris, Polyxeni Hatzigiannis.
