Adult education is part of lifelong learning and education and concerns the training of people who have exceeded the age of compulsory education.

What is an adult trainer?

Adult educators enter adult education from school, higher education, industry, local authorities, voluntary organizations and can be full and part time. Many combine teaching to adults with other employment outside education and many are retired.

The Greek trainers-trainers in non-formal education are paid by the hour for a specific program after they have attended a specific training course.

Where can I join as an adult trainer?

How can I become a certified adult trainer and teach my subject?

  • To get the qualification of the adult trainer you must successfully pass the EOPPEP exams!
  • You must attend the “Education of Adult Trainers” program of a public body in order to be eligible for the EOPPEP exams.

K.E.DI.V.I.M. of Panteion University, in collaboration with KDBM Easy-Education, implements the 200-hour “Adult Educator Training” training program in cycles, which leads to the EOPPEP exams.

Program Implementation Methodology:

The educational design follows the methodology that supports blended distance e-learning, a combination of asynchronous and modern education, with the ultimate goal of familiarizing the participants with the educational material.

  • 180 hours of asynchronous teletraining
  • 15 hours of live video conferencing (3 meetings)
  • 5 hours of live training (1 meeting) in all the regional units of the country, in case the conditions allow it.

Finally, upon successful completion of the program, you have the opportunity to attend FREE one EXTRA CREDIT seminarlasting 100 hours, worth €175, entitled: “Organization & planning of teaching for adult and minor learners”
