The prison officer, taking advantage of his official status and position, at least since June 2023, imported narcotic substances into the Detention Shop of Northern Greece with the aim of supplying them to incarcerated prisoners, against a monetary exchange.
The Internal Affairs Service of the Security Forces of Northern Greece proceeded with the arrest of a prison officer who is accused of importing and trafficking narcotics inside a Detention Facility.
The investigation of the case was preceded by a complaint, the content of which was certified after a specialized investigation, using special investigative techniques.
The prison officer, taking advantage of his official capacity and position, at least since June 2023, imported narcotic substances into the Detention Shop of Northern Greece with the aim of supplying them to incarcerated prisoners, against a monetary exchange.
In the context of the investigation, his action was certified when he imported 10.82 grams of raw cannabis and 4.9 grams of processed (chocolate) into the Detention Shop, while his arrest took place on the afternoon of Thursday, June 29, after receiving a pre-marked amount of money.
