The little boy of Albanian nationality around 1 pm on Sunday 9 July retrieved by lifeguard unconscious from the sea on the beach of Georgioupoli. He immediately received first aid from the lifeguards and EKAB rescuers, who rushed to the scene and managed to revive him.
He was transported by ambulance in the hospital of Rethymnon, where the doctors intubated it and decided that it should be rushed to PAGNI, which it was.
The 12-year-old boy was admitted to Children’s ICU, where the doctors are doing everything possible to help him, given his extremely serious condition.
