On alert are the independent Department of Civil Protection and the Directorate of Social Protection and Public Health of the municipality of Thessaloniki in view of the high temperatures that are expected from the next hours, according to the forecasts of the meteorologists.
From Tuesday, July 11, to Saturday, July 15, the following will be available to citizens air-conditioned areas: the foyer of the town hall from 07:00 to 22:00, the 4th and 5th KAPI annexes (Gr. Lambraki 42 and Alexandria 27 respectively) from 08:00 to 20:00.
Also, the Homeless Day Open Center and the Homeless Dormitory they will operate with extended hours from Wednesday to Saturday and a new announcement will follow depending on the development of weather conditions. In particular, the following will operate: the Open Homeless Day Center (Monastiriou 62) from 09:00 to 18:00 and the Homeless Dormitory (Andreou Georgiou 5 former 13) from 17:00 to 09:00.
At the same time, the Civil Protection department will carry out patrols in its peri-urban forest with five vehicles Sheikh Su from 08:00 to 22:00 while another three vehicles of the department have been made available to the Fire Service since the start of the fire season.
