It closed with a slight rise stock market market in today’s session, amid upward movement in European markets. The market closed at the highest levels since the beginning of April 2014, while the high capitalization shares of Motor Oil, Eurobank and Piraeus outperformed.

The General Price Index closed at 1,323.61 points, marking an increase of 0.48%.

It is the highest close since the session on April 2, 2014 (1,353.01 points).

The value of transactions amounted to 110.039 million euros, while 29,058,902 shares were traded.

The large-cap index rose 0.60%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.47%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Motor Oil (+3.04%), Eurobank (+2.92%), Piraeus (+2.48%), Aegean (+1, 54%) and Quest Holdings (+1.38%).

On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Terna Energy (-2.53%), OTE (-1.51%), Elvalhalcor (-2.35%), Viohalco (-1.17%) and GEK TERNA (-1.10%).

Of the individual indices, the Oil (+2.24%) and Banks (+1.42%) indices recorded the biggest increase, while the Telecommunications (-1.44%) and Prime indices recorded the biggest losses Materials (-1.20%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank with 9,218,752 and 6,939,283 shares, respectively.

The highest transaction value was recorded by Piraeus with 15.27 million euros and Alpha Bank with 14.71 million euros

70 stocks moved up, 35 fell and 21 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Space Hellas +10.12% and Geniki Emporiou +8.93%.

The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Lazaridis Estate -7.61% and Sarandopoulos Mills -5.36%.
