A high-ranking member of the fraternity wanted to give the assurance that everyone is fine to the members of the Great Masonic Lodge, after the explosion of an explosive device at dawn in the building of the Lodge on Sourmeli Street in Acharnon, in the center of Athens.
A few minutes after 9:00 the Police found a second package of explosives, next to the first one, and proceeded to detonate it in a controlled manner.
“It was a brazen hit, the reason is not known… But the prosecuting authorities know and will find the edge” says the Supreme Grand Brigadier, in a video message on Facebook.
As he clarified, the bombing took place in the building of the Supreme Council, which is next to the building of the Great Lodge,
“Fortunately, fortunately, fortunately it was not at the time we were meeting, because last night we were meeting late, anyway I want to reassure those who are interested and upset those who thought we were up to something. Our course is not going to change and the High Council and the Scottish press are not deterred by such,” he added afterwards.
