An impressive one cooking showwhich “enchanted” all those present, organized today in London, the Municipality of Thessalonikiin the presence of the Mayor Constantinos Zervas and the Deputy Mayor of Culture and Tourism Maria Karagiannis, in the context of the National Geographic Traveler Food Festival exhibition

Chef Aris Tsavos and the creative team of Estrella restaurants prepared and offered the participants an all day breakfast & brunch with authentic elements of Thessaloniki and excellent raw materials.

Omelet in a Thessaloniki bun with aged feta cheese, cherry tomatoes and fresh herbs was the first course of the presentation, followed by a chicken gyro with creamy feta cheese and onions on a handmade kefir dough.

These are two tasty recipes that satisfied even the most demanding foodies, who know that brunch is the most enjoyable meal of the day, especially when it gets the freedom of all day food. The dishes offered were accompanied by local wine, which was chosen by the “Winemakers of Northern Greece” Association.

The presentation of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, where the modern gastronomy of the city met its traditional cuisine, left the best impressions on the visitors of the exhibition, delighting those who caught the taste structure of the two dishes.

The participation of the Municipality of Thessaloniki – a member of the Unesco Creative Cities Network in the field of Gastronomy – in the Food Festival of the National Geographic Traveler took place in collaboration with the Thessaloniki Tourism Organization, which is currently running a major promotion campaign for Thessaloniki in a central part of the British capital , presenting the city as the ultimate city break destination.
