The checks in Mykonos, Rhodes, Kos and Preveza yielded “Laurakia”
Audits of the Directorate of Economic Police and the Sub-Directorate of Economic Police of Northern Greece were carried out from 13 to 16 July 2023 in Mykonos, Rhodes, Kos and Preveza, for compliance with insurance-labour and tax legislation.
The controls were carried out in shops of health interest and also in hotel units, where 16 violations were found while in one case a 48-hour suspension of operation is foreseen.
In more detail, it was found:
At Mykonos:
– in a hotel unit, to employ an employee outside working hours and
– in a restaurant, to employ 2 employees outside working hours.
In Rhodes:
– in a restaurant – beach bar, to employ 6 employees, who were not registered in the staff list, while 4 of them did not have documents for their legal residence in the country.
– At the same time, it was found that an employee was employed outside working hours and the non-issue of 18 receipts, which is why a 48-hour suspension of operation is foreseen,
– in a club-restaurant, to employ 5 workers, outside working hours
– in a beach bar – restaurant, to employ 2 employees, who were not registered in the staff list and 4 employees outside working hours,
– in a beach bar – restaurant, a staff board was not shown and the Labor Inspection Body was informed about its own actions,
– in a restaurant, the non-issuance of 4 receipts while a staff list was not shown and likewise the Labor Inspection Body was informed of its own actions.
In Kos:
– in a beach bar – restaurant, to employ 7 employees, outside working hours,
– in a bar-restaurant and a restaurant-pizzeria, staff tables were not displayed and the Labor Inspection Body was informed about this.
In Preveza:
– in a cafe-bar-restaurant, to employ 14 workers, outside of declared working days,
– in a cafe-refreshment, to employ 7 workers, who were not registered in the personnel tables,
– in cafes – bars, not issuing 6 receipts,
– in a restaurant, to employ an employee, outside working hours,
– in a restaurant-bar, to employ 5 employees, who were not registered in the personnel tables and
– in a cafeteria, not issuing 3 receipts and employing 3 workers, outside of working hours.
For the above cases, the competent services (PEKA, SEPE and D.OY) will be informed about their own further actions regarding the imposition of administrative sanctions.
