The ELAS Headquarters issued a statement underlining that in the context of wider business planning for dealing with firesemergency traffic regulations with prohibitions, interruptions and traffic diversions are applied on a case-by-case basis, in order to ensure the physical integrity of citizens as well as the unobstructed movement of fire engines and other emergency vehicles.

In this context in the area of ​​Attica, traffic is suspended on the following roads:

  • Phylis Street, from I.M. Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
  • provincial road Oinois – Magoulas, from the TITAN factory,
  • provincial road Elefsinas – Thebes, from the junction Mandras to Thebes to the borders with Thebes in both traffic streams,
  • St. Ag. Ekaterini from Mandra to Katadromon Street,
  • Katadromon and Germaniko streets.

Alongside, for the region of Viotia, the interruption in both traffic streams is still valid:

  • on Oinois Schimatariou Avenue – Elefsina, from the 14th street (Stefani Voiotias) to the 7th street (TITAN area),
  • on the Old Elefsina – Thebes National Highway, from the 33rd street (Agios Christoforos location) to the 30th street (boundaries with the Prefecture of Attica),
  • as well as on the Provincial Road of Panaktos – Oinois Attica, from the 1st to the 10th street.

In addition, on the New Athens-Corinth National Highway, from the height of the Agioi Theodoros Junction to the Epidaurus Junction, in the traffic flow towards Corinth, vehicular traffic is conducted from the left and middle traffic lanes, however, the right traffic lane remains closed.

The Police appeals to citizens not to move to these places, while due to the very high risk of fire that still exists today to avoid any movement, crossing or staying in NATURA areas, national forests, forests and groves.
