Mr. Triandopoulos was in Loutraki together with members of the Civil Protection to carry out autopsies and record the damages suffered by the citizens.

As he said, since two days the autopsy procedures have started in all areas. “The first ones were in Attica, we continued yesterday in the area of ​​Mandra and today, after the permission we got from the Fire Brigade so that the teams could operate, we are in Loutraki. The colleagues from the Directorate we have in Peloponnese have arrived and we are starting the autopsies process in collaboration with the municipality, the Fire Department, with all those involved. This continues in all areas from here to Athens. The steps have come out so that immediately to have an image for the needs and for the state aid process to naturally follow, the activation of the state aid framework, as happens every time with the announcement of the support measures”, he emphasized.

As he noted, so far, damages ranging from major to minor have been recorded in houses and businesses, both in Eastern Attica and in Madra. Howeverrecording continues and today and until the afternoon there will be a clear picture from all areas.

Time has been shortened, so the citizens will immediately, in the next days-weeks, receive the first aid and then with the relevant procedure, which is much shorter than in the past, they will also receive their support, either for their businesses or in terms of their agricultural holdings or their household equipment where we come and enrich the institutional framework or in terms of their homes”, underlined Mr. Triandopoulos.

“We should note here that it is the first action of the new General Secretariat for natural disaster recovery and state aid because everything has now been unified in the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, unlike what used to be the case where there were different services in different ministries. It is something we are now doing holistically”, concluded the Deputy Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection.
