ELAS proceeded to dismantle a criminal organization, whose members were active in the cultivation of a large number of cannabis seedlings in a villa in an area of ​​Attica.

The deconstruction of the organization took place in the context of a coordinated police operation that took place this morning in various areas of Attica, with the participation of EKAM police officers. and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service, as well as accompanying police dogs, during which seven 7 members of the organization were arrested. Against them, as well as against at least one other person who has been identified and is being sought, a case has been filed for criminal organization, as well as for violation of drug legislation.

According to ELAS, the investigation showed that those arrested, at least in the last quarter, had formed a criminal group and had planted cannabis seedlings in a villa in the Attica region.

During the police raid on the villa, a complete and complete plant for growing cannabis seedlings was found and confiscated, consisting of special equipment (for planting, growing, harvesting, separating, defoliating and drying them), while it was found that 343 cannabis seedlings, up to 2 meters high, were being cultivated there.

In total, from the searches carried out in the villa and in the homes of the arrested, the following were found and confiscated:

  • * 228 kg of raw hemp,
  • * 47 kg of processed hemp (chocolate),
  • * 900 ml hashish oil,
  • * 2.93 grams of cocaine,
  • * 39,468 euros and 3 British pounds gold,
  • * wristwatch,
  • * 5 vehicles,
  • * number of telephone devices and sim cards.

Drugs in an Attica villa

As pointed out by the Police, the quantities of drugs seized would bring the criminal organization a financial benefit of 1,026,000 to 2,185,000 euros.

Those arrested were taken to the competent prosecuting authority.
