The battle that the firefighting forces and volunteers continue to fight on all fronts of the fire on the island of Rhodes is shocking, while the water drops from firefighting planes and helicopters are also continuous.

On all three major fronts of the fire there are large flare-ups which are difficult to deal with due to the strong winds blowing in the area and the difficult terrain.

Since early in the morning, operations are underway on three active fronts, specifically in Kiotari and south-west towards Gennadi where earth-moving machines are working to prevent the fire from crossing the stream, Apollona towards Profiti Ilias where there are continuous flare-ups and an effort is being made not to spread further north towards the dense forest and in the Laermon-Gadoura area where the flames are near the village of Asklipio and Laerma but a battle is also being fought in the area of ​​Apollon.

More than 200 firefighters and hundreds of volunteers are working on the front lines of the fire, many of whom are on the battlements for the 6 days that the fire burns the forested areas of the island.

The transfer of tourists from the evacuated areas to safe places is also almost complete. Hundreds of tourists are accommodated in gymnasiums, in school halls, in conference centers of hotels on ships, while the response of the volunteers who rushed to these places to help the tourists, offering items, bedding, etc., is touching.

However, new places are constantly being found to accommodate them, while there is also a battle for their food.
