The first phase of the Elpis bad weather started in our country with snow and polar cold.

Snowfall is already occurring in the mountains of Northern Greece in areas such as Kavala, Larissa and Drama, without any particular problems being reported so far.

In terms of temperature, much of the country seems to be entering freezing, as in many areas the mercury is below zero.

The state mechanism is on full alert with a broad meeting to be held under the Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Christos Stylianidis, with the aim of optimal coordination of all relevant bodies

The temperature will drop significantly, mainly in the central and northern parts, and will fluctuate at low levels. Its maximum values ​​will not exceed 3 to 4 degrees in the north, 6 to 8 in the eastern continents, 11 to 13 in the rest of the country and only in the southern island of Greece the temperature will reach 15 degrees Celsius.
