A total of 25,982 vouchers of the social tourism program of the Public Employment Service (DYPA) were activated in tourist accommodation in the country between August 1-15, 2023, while 2,243 ferry transfer vouchers were also activated.

As mentioned in a related announcement, the most popular destination was Evia, followed by Halkidiki and Preveza.

Holidays with the social tourism program 2023-2024 can be taken until June 30, 2024.

As DYPA points out, this is a particularly enhanced and attractive program for both the beneficiaries and the providers, as it is characterized by a reduced to zero private participation for the beneficiaries in the cost of the overnight stay in the tourist accommodation and increased subsidy prices for the providers.

Beneficiaries and beneficiaries can spend up to six nights in a tourist accommodation they choose from the DYPA “Register of Providers”, after their direct consultation with the provider.

Especially, for accommodation in Leros, Lesbos, Chios, Kos and in the prefecture of Evros, up to 10 nights can be spent, with zero private participation, while for accommodation in N. Evia and Samos, but also in Rhodes, after publication of the relevant Public Ministerial Decision (KYA), up to 12 nights can be spent completely free of charge.

In addition to accommodation in tourist accommodation, ferry tickets are also subsidized.

The participation of the general category of beneficiaries amounts to 25% and those with many children to 20%.

For the disabled, the ferry tickets are available free of charge.
