In that the fatal blow to 29-year-old Michalis Katsouris was essentially an opportunistic, momentary attack without a long-lasting confrontation, the assessments of the ELAS officers investigating the case of the murder converge.

The fatal attack has been carried out, as at least they conclude, in the first stage of contact between AEK fans and the Croatian hooligans.

The perpetrator seems to have hit the 29-year-old without physical contact or a fight between them.

In fact, as they typically say, he nailed him when he found the opportunity among the “boogie” in an attempt to demonstrate strength, armament, supremacy and intimidation at the sight of blood and knife.

The unfortunate 29-year-old has noticed the blow and at the same time tries to escape from the attack of the other group of hooligans who beat him with bats.

Investigations continue at an intensive pace to identify the killer of Michalis Katsouri who died in the bloody incidents outside the AEK stadium in New Philadelphia on the evening of 8/8.

The “microscope” has included: depositions, evidence, DNA, but also the data from the hooligans’ mobile phones, absolutely indicative of the… route of the “death squad”, with new, shocking documents of murderous “raid” to come to the “light of publicity”.

The death squad of hooligans had started their attack on Patriarch Joachim Street at 23:15.

Although Michalis Katsouris has received the murderous blow to the hand, the episodes did not stop.

For about 15 minutes from 11.05 to 11.20 the streets around the AEK stadium have turned into a war zone.

At the time when the injured Katsouris finds refuge in the stand on Smyrnis Street, a few meters next door, on the same street the army of hooligans breaks up and isolates AEK fans, beating them mercilessly…

It is now 20 minutes after 11, the first MAT forces appear and disperse the crowd with a bang.

All the above images have been captured by the closed circuit of the stadium of New Philadelphia, immediately after the murderous blow to the 29-year-old.

A camera located on Lefkis Street recorded the gathering and the initial attack of the hooligans.

A second camera on Fokon Street has captured the fights next to the metal eagle, while a third one on Patriarchou Konstantinou Street has caught one of the attackers hitting Michalis.

Footage from the fourth camera located at the officials’ entrance to the stadium captured the savage beating of another fan, but no clear images of the attack. a few meters out of range of this camera, authorities believe the 29-year-old was fatally stabbed.

Under the microscope of the authorities, there is a crucial testimony of a police officer operating in New Philadelphia on the night of the murder, in whose field of vision a convoy of 50 motorcycles was found.

“Around 23:50, when we arrived at the Rizoupoli stadium, from the Antheon side, we saw a group of about 50 two-wheelers with two passengers each, almost 30 meters away from us. As soon as they noticed us, they turned their vehicles around and fled as a whole in the direction of Chalkidos Street” says a YMET police officer.

The security cameras of the AEK stadium recorded the first investigations by the police to locate the perpetrators immediately after their arrival at the scene of the murderous attack.

“There are definitely guides who are Greek. They are people who know the area very well. They are people who know very well what is going on as far as the business part is concerned in such appointments they make”, said Christos Symeonidis, Associate Professor. Association of Police Officers of Thessaloniki.

In the seized mobile phones of the arrested, the police have found searches in GPS applications, which testify to the organization and guidance that existed before their arrival in Greece.

On one of the phones, a Croatian hooligan is looking for routes to reach Athens via Patras, while at the same time addresses have been identified for an apartment in Ampelokipi, for a specific location in Maroussi, while the last search concerns the Irini station, where the death squad left the his vehicles.

Under draconian security measures, the transfer of the arrested to the 16 penitentiaries throughout the country continues since the morning. A total of 50 people have left GADA while 55 remain.
