A raid by the competent authorities on the beaches of Tinos has been taking place since yesterday.

The inspection revealed illegal occupation of 3,000 sq.m. coast and beach by tourist businesses and individuals, while a businessman was taken to the autoforo for non-compliance with a previous violation that still exists.

In detail, so far they have been carried out autopsies in 5 businesses on the popular beaches of Agios Fokas, Agia Kyriaki and Laouti of Tinos, where illegal occupation of 3,000 sq.m. beach and seashore from extra umbrellas, sunbeds as well as from special wooden constructions (pergolas, raised wooden decks, etc.).

Indeed, in one case, the legal representative of the company was taken to court since she did not comply with a previous administrative act imposed on her for the same violation.

As shown in the photos from the beach of Agia Kyriaki, the process of removing illegal constructions and objects from the beach and seashore has already been completed, while the same is happening in the other businesses where a violation was found.

Especially, for the fixed constructions that were identified and are outside the contract, the prescribed administrative measures have already begun, while in some cases the relevant demolition protocols have already been issued.

The inspections are carried out by officers of the Syros Land Service and officers of the Hellenic Police in the presence of the Aegean Appeals Prosecutor and the General Secretary of Public Property Naya Kollias.
