Speaking to the SKAI news bulletin, the representative of ELAS Constantia Dimoglidou he emphasized that it will take at least another two hours until the transfer of the LPG (7.5 tons) from the tanker is completed. The representative of ELAS cited the information available from the private company that has undertaken the process and the transport of the vehicle.

“We will need at least another two hours until the process is completed according to what the company knows, that’s why we asked the drivers earlier to make a U-turn either to Athens or to Corinth in order not to suffer for a longer period of time,” said the official of ELAS.
“The old highway has been opened, the emergency openings in Athens – Corinth have also been activated in order to drive the vehicles still on the new national road in the opposite direction to return. We ask people to use the old national road, but there is no reason for our fellow citizens to move on these roads in the next few hours if there is no need” Mrs. Dimoglidou pointed out.
