At upward rates moved the passenger traffic at airports of the country registering a significant increase in the month July in relation to the corresponding month of 2022 and 2019.

According to the provisional statistics of the Civil Aviation Service for all the airports of our country (Athens “Eleftherios Venizelos” Airport, 24 airports managed by CAA, 14 regional airports managed by Fraport Greece), this July recorded an increase in passenger traffic by +7 .6% compared to 2022 and by +14.2% compared to 2019, as 11,342,154 were handled in 2023, 10,539,545 were handled in 2022 and 9,930,332 passengers were handled in 2019.

For the seven months of the year 2023 in Greece (January/July 2023), the total number of passengers in the airports, (arrivals and departures of foreign and domestic passengers), reached 38,777,081, compared to 33,058,215 in the corresponding period of 2022 and 34,656. 788 passengers in 2019. From the above statistics, there is an increase in passenger traffic of +17.3% compared to 2022 and an increase of +11.9% compared to 2019.

Regarding flight statistics (domestic and international aircraft arrivals and departures) July 2023 there were 81,984 flights, compared to 84,875 in 2022 and 76,370 flights in 2019, with air traffic decreasing by -3.4%, compared to 2022 and an increase of +7.4% compared to 2019.

Flight statistics for the seven months of the year 2023 (January/July 2023) show that there were 306,929 flights in 2023, compared to 298,505 in 2022 and 290,859 flights in 2019, with air traffic for the seven months of 2023 rising +2.8% to compared to 2022 and +5.5% increase compared to 2019.
