The 18 migrants who were found charred in the Dadia Forest seem to have been recording videos with their mobile phones while crossing a path before being trapped in the fire.

Creepy moments from their videos are brought to light by ANT1.

This is shocking material that reached the hands of the Italian activist Naual Sufi.

They are images that the immigrants themselves recorded with their mobile phones and sent to their relatives, and that’s how this material managed to be saved.

We see the migrants walking through the forest of Dadia, behind which the fire can be seen approaching them and they are struggling to find an escape route.

In other night shots, the fire seems to have come very close to them.

We hear some praying, someone saying “the fire is too big, we are trapped” and others begging for an escape route.

Unfortunately, they did not succeed and all 18 were found charred, while – as we know – another man was found charred a few hours ago in Lefkimmi, in the National Park of Dadia.

This material may help the Greek authorities to identify the victims, at the time when the Disaster Victim Identification team, which was established in order to provide further assistance in the process of identifying the victims of the Evros fire, began work at the Ministry of Immigration.

This team will welcome relatives of the victims to receive biological material, while a call center has been set up, which has been operating since today and is supported by people who know Arabic, so that those who have information about the missing can contact them.
