The battle continues with flare-ups on the fire fronts in Parnitha, Evros and Boeotia. The picture as it became known from the Fire Department is better and significantly improved with the most active front now located in the wider area of ​​Leptokarya Evros.

The Fire Department forces fought all night long to stop any rekindling on all fronts of the fires that have occurred.

According to the Fire Department, in Parnitha there are scattered active outbreaks on its southwest side, in the Fort of the Tribe. A total of 260 firefighters are operating with 13 groups of infantry departments, 77 vehicles, and from the air 4 aircraft and 4 helicopters. Air assets are expected to be reinforced with another 4 aircraft.

In Evros the most active front is located in the wider area of ​​Leptokarya Evros towards Aisymi. In Dadia, in the southern part, the fire has been contained, according to the Fire Service. Flares are faced west of the village of Kotronia Evros. There are no active fronts in Lefkimmi but also in the Mesimvria to Dikella areas as well as on the north side in the Koila area. The forces operating in the wider area of ​​Evros remain strong. In particular, 295 firefighters with 16 groups of pedestrian departments, 85 vehicles and from the air 2 aircraft and 2 helicopters are operating.

In Rodopi, the fire brigade is dealing with scattered outbreaks.

The fires in Boeotia also present a good picture. In particular, as it became known from the Fire Department, in Steiri Viotia there are scattered active outbreaks towards the hill opposite Kyriaki. In Prodromos and Saradi Boeotia there is no active front. In Yliki, the fire brigade is trying to put out any scattered outbreaks they find as the fire has almost been contained, while in Tarsos Boeotia there are scattered outbreaks which are being tackled by the fire brigade.

In Makrakomi, Fthiotida, the resurgence of fire that occurred yesterday afternoon, as it became known from the Fire Department, has been dealt with.

A very high risk of fire is predicted today in 4 regions of the country, according to the Fire Risk Prediction Map issued by the general secretariat of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection (civilprotection.gov.gr).

Specifically, a very high risk of fire is predicted today for the following areas:

* Region of Central Greece (PE Boeotia, PE Evia including the island of Skyros)

* Region of Attica

* Peloponnese Region (Corinthia Region)

* Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace (Rhodopi PE, Evros PE including the island of Samothraki)

Territory Fire Service personnel remain on general alert in order to deal with the increased service demands, which have arisen due to the large number of fires as well as the very high risk of fire (risk category 4), while aerial surveillance patrols continue, as well as patrols by Fire, Police and Military forces.
