A total of 1791 rescues – evacuations of people who were taken to safe places have been carried out until now, while from the day before yesterday, Tuesday, September 5, until today, the Operations Center of the Fire Department received 6,284 calls, according to information from the Fire Department.

The calls mainly involve pumping water, cutting trees and removing people to safe places.

Specifically:

o In the Region of Thessaly 4,305 calls, of which:

– in Magnesia, 2,250 calls, while so far 630 water pumps have been carried out and 610 people have been transported to safe places

– in the coastal zone of Larissa 305 calls, while so far 124 water pumps have been carried out and 125 people have been transported to safe places

– in Karditsa, 1050 calls, while so far 230 water pumps have been carried out and 360 people have been transported to safe places

– in Trikala, 580 calls, while so far 83 water pumps have been carried out and 340 people have been transported to safe places

– in Skiathos, 120 calls, while so far 28 water pumps have been carried out and 35 people have been transported to safe places

o In the Region of Central Greece 850 calls, of which:

– in areas of northern Evia 115 calls, while so far 38 water pumpings, 12 tree cuttings and 9 people have been taken to safe places have been carried out

– in Domoko and Lamia Fthiotida 720 calls, while so far 252 water pumps have been carried out and 142 people have been transported to safe places

– in Thebes and Livadia of Boeotia 22 calls, while so far 19 water pumps have been carried out and 1 person has been taken to a safe place

In the Region of Central Macedonia 40 calls, of which:

– in Thessaloniki, 1 water pumping, 10 tree cuttings and 2 object removals took place

– in Halkidiki, 11 trees were cut down and 2 objects were removed

– 1 tree felling took place in Serres

– in Katerini Pieria, 2 water pumpings were carried out

In the Peloponnese Region 139 calls, of which:

– In Spetses 12 calls, while so far 10 water pumpings have been carried out

– In Epidaurus 40 calls, while so far 24 water pumpings have been carried out, 6 trees have been cut and 8 people have been transported to safe places

– In Kranidi 80 calls, while so far 71 water pumps have been carried out and 7 people have been taken to safe places.

– In Monemvasia, 5 water pumpings have been carried out

– In Corinth, 2 water pumps have been carried out

In the Attica Region 950 calls, of which:

– In areas of the basin 826 calls, while so far 583 water pumpings, 45 tree cuttings and 44 people have been taken to safe places have been carried out.

– In Aegina and Agistri 124 calls while 49 water pumpings have been carried out so far

Also, aerial rescues are carried out by 10 helicopters, of which 3 have been made available by the G.E.ETH.A. and so far 110 people have been transported to a safe place by air rescuers, namely:

– 24 (23 and 1 baby) people as well as 1 dog from Agia Triada Karditsa

– 28 people from Palamas Karditsa

– 25 people from Metamorfosi Karditsa

– 1 person from Koskina Karditsa

– 11 people from Psathochori Karditsa

– 15 people from Megala Kalivia Trikala

– 4 people from Ermitsi Karditsa

– 2 people from Astritsa Karditsa

It is noted that all Civil Protection forces remain on general alert.

At the same time, the Fire Brigade calls on all citizens to be particularly careful and to faithfully follow the instructions of the competent authorities.
