As the managing director of OSE Panagiotis Terzakis told APE-MBE, the disasters extend for about 50 km from Domokos station to Krannona, about 10 km outside of Larissa.
They concern damage to both the lines and the light signals in the power poles, the stations and in general the infrastructure network.
According to Mr. Terzakis, the cost of the restoration will reach 40 to 50 million euros and it will take at least a month to repair the network.
until then, railway routes will not be able to be carried out, said Mr. Terzakis.

The routes of the Larissa-Volos-Larissa line will be operated by buses, from today Friday, 8/9/2023 and until further notice, according to an announcement by Hellenic Train.
