Deadlines for the upskilling and retraining program for workers in high-demand sectors, with a focus on digital and green skills, are being extended to affected areas of Karditsa, Magnesia, Larissa and Trikala, due to bad weather “Daniel”.

In particular, the deadline for the start of the training courses is extended from September 11 to October 9, 2023, while the deadline for physical objects is extended from October 14 to November 13, 2023.

As the Public Employment Service (DYPA) states in its announcement, the action enables 150,000 salaried workers in the private sector to acquire or upgrade their digital and green skills and is implemented within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0”. , with funding from the European Union-NextGenerationEU, amounting to 155 million euros.

At the same time, DYPA expresses its support to the residents of the affected areas.
