The platform was also opened today for Larissa and Fthiotida, said the Deputy Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Christos Triandopoulos during today’s briefing for Thessaly.
“Since Monday when the platform (for state aid) has been opened and until now, 5,000 definitive applications have been submitted, as well as 3,000 temporary applications,” the Deputy Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection pointed out at the midday briefing on the affected areas in Thessaly , Christos Triandopoulos, from the Business Coordination Center in Larissa.
“As we have announced from the very beginning, as of today the platform has also opened for Larissa and Fthiotida. It is useful to note again that until now the prefectures of Magnesia, Karditsa and Trikala have been included. That is, all those affected by these prefectures can apply to the platform. It does not concern specific areas. It concerns the affected in the entire scope of each prefecture”, said the deputy minister and added that there is special care for the villages that were universally affected by the floods, in the context of the cooperation of the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection with the AADE.
Mr. Triandopoulos also reminded that this concern is limited to the following:
• An autopsy is not required to pay compensation for household goods and basic needs.
• An automated process is being set up to pay the compensation immediately, in the next few days, without the need to apply to the platform.
“Care is not about the amount paid. That is, 6,600 euros will be paid to a beneficiary of a village that was completely affected. And 6,600 euros will also be paid to a beneficiary who has been significantly affected in another area, beyond the specific villages. It’s just that, in these cases, an autopsy is required by the relevant levels,” he noted.
At the same time, he added: “Echelons who are constantly in the field, having carried out, with today’s project, more than 5,000 autopsies and records of damage to houses and buildings.
And the autopsies proceed at the same rapid pace. Procedure, which I want one more time, and as we noted from the first moment, to clarify that it does not presuppose the preservation of his household goods inside the flooded house.
As we have said, for the areas that will be autopsied, those affected can proceed with the cleaning, keeping a photographic record from the inside of the affected building.
The records, as well as the autopsies, concerning the businesses are continuing.
To date, 3,330 applications have been submitted to the District and State Aid Committees, while 707 autopsies have already been carried out.
The records of losses in the primary sector continue, in a context of close cooperation with the Ministry of Agricultural Development and Food.
Damage declarations continue to be submitted to the ELGA correspondents, both for the compensation provided by the ELGA regulation, and for all the rest covered by the State Aid framework. A framework that covers both what was included in the KOEs and outside of them , including but not limited to land capital, produce, merchandise, machinery, equipment, so as to support the affected farmer.
There is also care from the Ministry of Development to support consumers in Thessaly affected by the bad weather and to prevent the phenomenon of profiteering.
With the levels of DIMEA inspectors in Thessaly to check compliance with the legislation regarding the maximum selling price for bottled water and the ceiling on the gross profit margin, while checks are also carried out on the selling prices of the products in the public markets. Controls in collaboration with the services of the Region.
Finally, in a framework of cooperation with food supermarkets and electrical goods and furniture chains, discounts are launched for consumers in Thessaly.
All the Ministries involved, all the agencies, ensure to support Thessaly which is being tested. They take care and work to get the area and its residents back on their feet as quickly as possible.
And together we will achieve it..”
