A wild boar appeared yesterday roaming near Dafni Attica
A wild boar, who even had a company of cats playing with him, made an appearance yesterday afternoon at Dafni Haidariou.
The video published on Facebook by the newspaper “Chaidari Today” shows the wild animal taking its walk, Terma Nikiforos Fokas (and Komninon) next to Agios Christopheros.
The remarkable thing is how neighborhood cats roam around himwhile the same is absolutely calm.
In any case, the instructions given by the Aegaleo Forestry Department apply: People should not approach the wild boars and do not feed them.
It is probably a male wild boar, as it was moving around alone, unlike females who live in groups with their young. Boars roam around looking for females in oestrus to mate with, which starts in early September.
We remind you that during last winter around 20 wild boars were removed from Poikilo (Dafniou Valley, Afaia, Koumoundourou Lake), after being trapped in special cages. They were transferred to the area of ​​Kithairona.
