In taking measures to support and provide financial relief to citizens affected by the bad weather “Daniel”the municipality of Limni Plastira will proceed, as announced by the municipal authority.

  • Among other things, they are provided zero water bills for households and businesses affected by Hurricane Daniel for one year.
  • Exemption from municipal reimbursable fees of affected households and businesses for one year.
  • Abolition of irrigation fees for 2023 for the holdings affected. Distribution of plots, in a safe area, for the residents whose houses have been judged unsuitable (red), or will be judged in the future, as the landslide phenomenon is ongoing.

Support measures they will be reviewed at their expiration. The municipal authority also recommends to the affected citizens to keep the proof of inspection from the levels of GDAEFK. Correspondingly, the businesses that were affected to keep the audit evidence from the levels of the Region.

Speaking to the Athenian-Macedonian News Agency, the mayor of the municipality of Limni Plastira, Mr. Panagiotis Nanos, emphasizes that the biggest problem in the villages of the municipality was created by the landslides where major infrastructure projects are required with the corresponding assistance of the state.
